Dennis became interested in the business of real estate while working for a national retail music chain in the 1970s, and in 1975 decided to become a Realtor in Calgary with the blessing of his wife Betty-Anne, to whom he has now been married nearly 45 years. He quickly found he loved the lifestyle, and had an aptitude for it, being inducted into the MLS Million Dollar Club only six months after entering the industry. He worked with a number of companies, fulfilling duties as recruiter, trainer, and relocation specialist, and winning sales awards as he went; in 1998, he joined RE/MAX. Over the past fifteen years, Dennis has been awarded the RE/MAX Platinum Club Achievement, the MLS® Award of Merit, and the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, among other awards and recognition. He has been an active committee member of the Calgary Real Estate Board, participating in various sub-committees, leadership groups, and task forces, including the working group now known as Professional Standards, which he helped form in 1984. Dennis greatly enjoys giving back to the community through charity and volunteer work, and has served as assistant leader of the Strathcona Park 215 Scout Troops, organized Christmas food hampers, driven cancer patients to the Tom Baker Centre, and collected for a range of health-related organizations. In 2012, Dennis was a finalist for CREB’s T.W.H. (Bill) Saunders Memorial Award, also known as the ‘Realtor of the Year’ award.

After studying real estate at Mount Royal College (now Mount Royal University),  Dennis and Betty-Anne’s son Ryan decided to join the family business in 2000, at the age of 23. He hasn’t looked back since, having the support of his wife Melanie, whom he married in 2005 after seven years together, to aggressively pursue the career he loves. Ryan has gained an exceptional amount of experience in both condominium and single-family home sales, and he particularly loves helping young couples break into the real estate market for the first time. When he’s not working, Ryan spends as much time as possible with his two young sons, preferably camping somewhere close to the beach with a steak and good glass of wine (Penticton, one of the family’s favourite vacation spots, brings these things together beautifully). Ryan is a past member of the Children’s Miracle Network / RE/MAX Liaison Committee, has participated in telethons, Christmas drives, and other charitable initiatives.

Ryan and Dennis take a results-focused approach to marketing their properties, using the most advanced and effective avenues available to them, including MLS, Facebook, Kijiji, Google and this website; further, properties are professionally photographed and staged for no extra charge.

As RE/MAX Realty Professionals REALTORS®, they take pride in the work they do, and in every home they sell. While roughly half of the Realtors in Calgary each sold 6 houses or less last year, RE/MAX Realty Professionals lead all other agents in Calgary for productivity and performance, having each sold an average of 25 homes in 2014. RE/MAX held a whopping 37 percent of the marketshare last year because RE/MAX Realtors know the communities in which they work, and because their education and experience help them secure the best price for their clients’ homes.
